NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The College of Saint Rose dropped this afternoon's Northeast-10 Conference game at Southern Connecticut State by score of 80-55.

Senior guard
Ashley Vanderwall led the Golden Knights (11-11/4-11 NE10) with 14 points. Senior guard
Isa Vara de Rey chipped in with 13.
Senior guard Amanda Pfohl topped Southern Connecticut State (13-11/7-9 NE10), which snapped a four-game slide, with 28 points. Junior forward Kiana Steinauer, who entered the weekend as the country's rebounding leader, finished with 24 points and 16 boards en route to her national leading 19th "double-double" of the season. Junior guard Imani Wheeler added 18.
After Vanderwall swished a trey on the first possession of the matinee, the Owls used an 16-4 outburst to take control. Saint Rose responded with a 10-4 run to get back to within three, 26-23, early in the second period. From there, Southern Connecticut State scored 15 of the ensuing 20 points to regain its double figure advantage.
The Golden Knights, who trailed 47-32 at intermission, were unable to get closer than within 11 in the second half.
