WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The College of Saint Rose was outscored 16-2 in the third period of this afternoon's 55-37 Northeast-10 Conference setback at New Haven.

Senior forward
Karissa Birthwright topped the Golden Knights (11-13/4-13 NE10) with 13 points on 5-for-8 shooting.
Freshman forward Camryn DeBose led New Haven (15-11/8-10 NE10) with 16 points. Senior center Katia Oge, one of four Chargers that were honored as part of the pregame "Senior Day" ceremony, added a "double-double" of 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The Golden Knights utilized a 6-0 run to hold a 15-10 lead after the first quarter. New Haven answered with a 7-0 run to start the second stanza to gain the advantage. Saint Rose trailed 26-23 at intermission despite limiting the hosts to an 8.3 three-point shooting percentage (1-for-12) across the opening 20 minutes.
The Chargers, which led by as many as 21, gained control in the third period as Saint Rose was unable to get any closer than 13 in the final frame.
