ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose overcame deficits early in each half only to fall 83-67 to visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival Adelphi tonight. The Panthers (17-8/11-6 NE10) shot 61.3 percent (19-for-31) from the floor in the second stanza to chalk up their seventh win in the last eight games.

Adam Anderson tossed in 24 points and freshman guard
Tyler Washington contributed a season-high 15 in 16 minutes off the bench for the Golden Knights (8-15/5-11 NE10). Senior forward
Matt Cerutti added eight points and a team-leading eight rebounds.

Senior forward Nick Cambio registered a "double-double" behind 30 points and 10 rebounds, while fellow senior Jack Laffey tossed in 24 points and hauled in eight boards for Adelphi. Also, senior guard Conor McGuinness added 13 to reach the 1000-point mark for his career.

Saint Rose overcame a 9-2 deficit to take a 32-30 halftime lead and then whittled a 10-point, 47-37, deficit with 12:42 remaining to a bucket, 54-52, after freshman forward
Sekou Sylla finished inside. However, Adelphi scored eight of the game's ensuing 10 points to put itself in control, 62-54, with 7:08 to go. Saint Rose got no closer than within five the rest of the way.
