Graupman and Townes Score in Twin Figures


WEST HAVEN, Conn. - The College of Saint Rose guards Cameron Graupman and Becca Townes scored in double figures in this afternoon's 69-48 Northeast-10 Conference loss at New Haven. Graupman, a senior, led the Golden Knights (3-5/0-4 NE10) with 13 points, while the sophomore Townes added ten.

New Haven (6-1/3-1 NE10), the top defense in the NE10 in points-allowed and opposing field goal percentage, charged out to an 11-3 lead across the matinee's opening 4:24. After Saint Rose battled back to get things to five at the end of the first quarter, the Chargers began the second period on a 6-1 run to increase their advantage to double-digits. New Haven, who led by as many as 23, permitted the Golden Knights to get no closer than eight across the final 35:29.

Senior forward Micah Wormack topped the victors with 15 points, while sophomore guard Camryn DeBose tossed in 13.
 
Looking ahead, both teams have NE10 games on Tuesday at 5:30 pm.  Saint Rose will host Southern Connecticut State, while New Haven visits American International. Fans that are unable to make it to Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium to attend the game can watch all the action live on the NE10 Now Network.
Notes: Graupman averaged a team-high 15.5 points on 40.7 percent (11-for-27) shooting this week...She had a career-high 18 points Wednesday vs. Pace...Senior forward Leah Dollard tops Saint Rose with 11.4 points-per-game...She's shooting 50.0 percent (34-for-68) from the field this year...Junior forward Nina Fedullo, second on the Golden Knights with 10.6 points-per-game, grabs a team-high 8.1 rebounds a night...The mark is good for fifth in the NE10...The junior, who shoots 51.6 percent (32-for-62), registered 11.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this week.
