GOLDEN KNIGHTS UPENDED 78-73 BY PACE IN OVERTIME

Four Saint Rose Players Reach Double Figures in NE10 Setback

ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose erased a seven-point deficit across the final 3:43 to force overtime in tonight's 78-73 Northeast-10 Conference loss to visiting Pace University.

The Golden Knights (3-4/0-3 NE10), which shot 54.0 percent (27-of-50) from the field, had four players in twin figures. Junior forward Nina Fedullo led the way with a career-high 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting and eight rebounds. Senior guard Cameron Graupman added a career-high 18 points to go along with five rebounds and four assists, while senior forward Leah Dollard went 6-of-9 from the field to net 17 points. Senior guard Takora McIntyre contributed across the box score with 16 points, a career-high, seven assists, two steals and a block.

Junior forward Lauren Schetter topped Pace (7-1/3-0 NE10), ranked fifth in the latest D2SIDA East Regional Poll, with 28 points, six of which came in overtime. She added a team-high seven boards and four assists. Senior guard Jackie DelliSanti, who began the day second in the NE10 in scoring, tossed in 17 points on 7-of-12 shooting.

McIntyre and Dollard keyed the Saint Rose late-game charge. McIntyre recorded five points, including a trey to cut it to 64-62 with 2:54 to go, while Dollard, swished a jumper and a pair of foul shots to knot the NE10 contest at 64 and 66. The Setters, now winners of five-straight, had a chance to escape the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium in regulation; however Fedullo blocked the ten-foot buzzer beater to go to an extra session.

After, Pace commenced overtime with back-to-back baskets to earn some breathing room, Saint Rose continued to battle and keep things at one-possession for the majority of the fifth period. The Golden Knights cut the deficit to a single point twice in the final 1:21. However, DelliSanti knocked down some tough looks inside the paint to answer.

Down three with 11 seconds left, Saint Rose used a timeout to plan its possession. The three-pointer by sophomore guard Becca Townes was off the mark. Schetter secured the carom and sealed the road victory at the line with a pair of makes.

Both teams are in action on Saturday afternoon. Saint Rose travels to New Haven for a 1:30 pm NE10 matinee. Fans unable to make it to West Haven, Conn. can watch the contest on the NE10 Now Network. Meanwhile, Pace has a 1:00 pm non-conference game at Bridgeport.
