ALBANY, N.Y. - Senior outside hitter
Stevie Schweitzer became just the fourth The College of Saint Rose player to eclipse 1,000 career kills in tonight's 3-1 (25-20, 14-25, 25-19, 26-24) Northeast-10 Conference loss to visiting Saint Anselm. She registered a double-double of 12 kills and 16 digs to lead the Golden Knights (10-16/3-8 NE10) in the setback.

Junior middle hitter
Kyla Archie, the NE10 blocking leader, added eight kills and eight total blocks, while senior libero
Tina Ceriello, who tops the conference in digs and digs per set, tallied 18 digs.

Saint Anselm (18-8/8-2 NE10), now winners of four straight, received 16 kills on .233 hitting from junior outside hitter Jordan Schamp. Senior outside hitter Catie McCarthy tossed in 13 kills. Freshman setter Michelle Henwood contributed 37 assists and 17 digs, while freshman libero Caroline Belmontez topped all participants with 20 digs.

After dropping the opening set, the Black and Gold hit .500 to tie things. The third and fourth sets were tightly contested, with the teams recording 27 ties and 10 lead changes during the time frame. The Hawks used a 5-0 run late to break an 18-18 third set deadlock, before coming back from a 23-22 fourth set deficit to move to 18-3 across their last 21 matches. Â

Looking ahead, both teams return to the court tomorrow afternoon. Saint Rose welcomes in Saint Michael's for "Senior Day" at 1:00 pm, while Saint Anselm is at Le Moyne. Fans can watch the action on the
