GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose will now take aim at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship following tonight's 2-0 setback in its regular-season finale at #6 and defending league champion Adelphi.

Both sides will begin their postseason runs Saturday with NE10 Championship quarterfinal matches. The sixth-seed Golden Knights (10-5-2/6-4-2 NE10) will visit third-seed Southern New Hampshire at 4:00 pm, while the top-seed Panthers (15-1-1/10-1-1 NE10) will host eighth-seed American International at 7:00 pm.

In this year's meeting, Saint Rose and the Penmen played to a 2-2 draw on Saturday, October 5 in Albany where Southern New Hampshire scored the game-tying goal off a direct kick with two seconds left in regulation.

This evening, Adelphi (15-1-1/10-1-1 NE10) struck twice within a seven-minute span midway through the first half to improve to 9-0-0 at home on the year. Senior back Alessandro Corti accounted for what proved to be the game-winner at the 22:06 mark when he drove a shot from the top of the area inside the right post. Sophomore midfielder Paolo Marciano then gathered in a loose ball and finished for an insurance tally.
