MANCHESTER, N.H. – The College of Saint Rose put itself in a historic position by advancing on penalty kicks after playing 110 minutes of scoreless soccer in today's Northeast-10 Conference quarterfinal at Southern New Hampshire.
The Golden Knights will now play in its first ever NE10 semifinal this Wednesday at #18 Franklin Pierce in Rindge, N.H. The Ravens moved on with a 5-1 win versus Bentley.

"I'm just so proud of the resiliency of our group! We knew playing a very talented Southern New Hampshire team at its place was going to always be a tall order, but the belief of this group is truly special. We wanted this one especially for our school and our alumni, and are just so happy right now! It took all 28 guys in our program to get this done. We now look forward to prepping for the semifinals," said head coach
John Ciano.

Gianni Carillo thwarted three attempts in PKs and junior back
Andrew Lule buried the game-winner for the Golden Knights (10-5-3), who in the process stunned a Southern New Hampshire (9-4-4) program that has won a league record seven postseason titles.

Overall, the Penmen (9-4-4) generated a 24-10 shot advantage and an 8-2 corner kick differential, but Carillo made three of his nine saves in the first overtime to keep them at bay.
