SAINT ROSE MEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING DROPS DUAL MEET TO LE MOYNE

TROY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose men's swimming and diving team was defeated by Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne 135.3-94.5 this afternoon at Robison Pool on the campus of RPI.
 
The Golden Knights relied on strong performances from their seniors in today's dual meet. Seniors Roko Jelavic and Aleksandar Stosik each earned victories in multiple individual events on the day.  Jelavic displayed his versatility in swimming short and long events, taking first place in the 400-yard IM in 4:27.20 and the 100 breaststroke in 59.68.  Stosik touched the wall first in the 100 freestyle and 200 freestyle, respectively finishing in 47.84 and 1:48.82. 
 
Freshman Anthonie Brito and senior Charles Nicholas joined Jelavic and Stosik to win the 200 medley relay.  The quartet posted a time of 1:40.60.  Nicholas also took first place in the 100 butterfly with a time of 53.16.
 
Saint Rose next travels to compete in the Gompei Invitational in Worcester, Mass. The meet starts Friday, December 6 and concludes Sunday, December 8 on the WPI campus.
