The duo were not the only rookies to standout for the Golden Knights (10-15/3-7 NE10), which fell by scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-19 and 25-22. Freshman setter
Allison Sellers topped all players with 19 assists, while freshman setter
Valeria Jorge dished out 15 helpers.
Saint Rose senior libero
Tina Ceriello, who leads the conference in digs and digs per set, tallied 15 digs, while junior middle hitter
Kyla Archie, the NE10 blocking leader, added six kills and eight total blocks.
Senior middle hitter Baylee Lippincott paced Southern New Hampshire (13-9/5-3 NE10) with 14 kills, while freshman outside hitter Juliana Pacini contributed a double-double of 11 kills and 11 digs. Senior setter Joanne Coffey handed out 19 assists and freshman defensive specialist Angela Crosetti elevated 17 Saint Rose attacks.
After splitting the opening two sets, SNHU gained control with a 7-0 run late in the third stanza. The stretch turned a single-point Penman advantage into a set-point scenario. The Golden Knights worked hard to send the matinee to a decisive fifth set, knotting the fourth period for the ninth time at 21 before falling.
Looking ahead, both teams are in action Friday at 7:00 pm. Saint Rose begins its final home weekend of the regular season versus Saint Anselm. Fans unable to make it to Albany can watch the NE10 action on the
