GOLDEN KNIGHTS FALL 64-53 AT DOMINICAN

Fedullo Registers Double-Double in Road Setback


ORANGEBURG, N.Y. - A slow start following intermission by The College of Saint Rose was the difference in today's 64-53 loss to host Dominican at the Regina Rivera Memorial Tournament.

After a tight opening half, Dominican (2-2) commenced the third quarter on a 10-2 run en route to a double-digit advantage. Following the 2:31 stretch, the Golden Knights (2-1)  cut the margin to six on multiple occasions, including at 52-46 with 6:56 remaining, but could not get any closer.

Junior forward Nina Fedullo registered a double-double of ten points and ten rebounds to lead Saint Rose. Senior guard Takora McIntyre also tallied ten points, while sophomore forward Shamim Wambere registered seven points and nine rebounds.  

Dominican sophomore guard Naabea-Janaa Assibey-Bonsu topped all players with 17 points. Senior forward Jasmime Gee added a double-double of 12 points and 11 rebounds, while junior forward Samantha McClutchy went a perfect 5-of-5 from the field en route to ten points.

On tomorrow's final day of Tournament action, Dominican will play Saint Michael's at 12:00 pm. Saint Rose will follow with a 2:00 pm contest against Felician.
Notes: Sophomore guard Becca Townes and Fedullo made Monday's Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll…Townes began the week sixth in the NE10 in scoring at 18.0 ppg…She was third in the league with a 66.7 field goal percentage and fourth with a 70.0 three-point field goal percentage.
