ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team dropped tonight's Northeast-10 Conference match to visiting American International 3-1 (24-26, 25-22, 16-25, 20-25).

Stevie Schweitzer recorded a double-double of 18 kills and 10 digs to lead the Golden Knights (8-10/2-2 NE10).

Allison Sellers (14) dished out 31 assists, while senior libero
Tina Ceriello, the NE10 leader in total digs and digs per set, elevated 15 AIC attacks. Junior middle hitter
Kyla Archie increased her conference blocking lead with eight total blocks in the setback.              Â

American International (5-14/3-2 NE10), who reached the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals last fall, had four players register eight or more kills in the road victory.

Junior outside hitter Andrea Serra, the national leader in total kills, led the way with 26 kills on .382 hitting. Senior outside hitter Jana Potic, who registered her 1,000
th career dig tonight, added a double-double of 19 kills on .312 hitting and 12 digs. Freshman setter Naomi Eckert ran the Yellow Jacket offense to the tune of 58 assists, while sophomore libero Lyanne Hernandez totaled 20 digs.

After dropping the opening frame, the Golden Knights broke a 17-17 second-set deadlock with a 7-3 run to tie up the contest. However, American International gained the advantage by hitting .412 in the third stanza. The visitors proceeded to limit Saint Rose to .032 hitting in the fourth set to get the win.Â

Both squads are in action Saturday at 1:00 pm. The Golden Knights are on the road at Southern Connecticut State. Fans unable to make it to New Haven, Conn. for the NE10 contest can watch the match on the
NE10 NOW Network. Meanwhile, American International hosts Pace University.
Notes: Saint Rose, picked ninth in the Northeast-10 Conference preseason coaches' poll, is coming off its first postseason appearance since 2015…Ceriello tops the NE10 with 5.48 digs per set and 340 digs…Archie has averaged a conference-best 1.19 blocks per set…Serra, who came into the match as the national leader with 295 total kills, leads the conference with 4.22 kills per set…Potic is now just the fourth AIC player to record 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career.
