ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose dropped today's Northeast-10 Conference match 3-1 (20-25, 25-23, 21-25, 11-25) to Stonehill.

The Golden Knights (10-13/3-5 NE10) corralled Stonehill, the top-ranked offense in the NE10 in multiple categories, in the early going. Saint Rose registered six of its 13 total team blocks in the opening set and held the Skyhawks (13-7/6-2 NE10) to .080 hitting across the first three stanzas. Kyla Archie, the NE10 blocking leader, and
Anna Maggiolo led the Saint Rose effort at the net, blocking six Stonehill swings apiece. Senior libero
Tina Ceriello, who was chosen the NE10 Libero of the Week on Tuesday, elevated 15 Skyhawk attacks.

Offensively, senior outside hitter
Stevie Schweitzer topped the Golden Knights with eight kills, while Archie and freshman outside hitter

Junior outside hitter Sophia Poveda paced Stonehill with 14 kills, and freshman outside hitter Basia Peragine tossed in ten. The setting duo of junior Jessica Givens (20) and freshman Molly Turner (18) dished out 38 assists, while senior libero Rachel Dunlavy registered 16 digs.

After a 5-0 Stonehill run helped decide the opener, Saint Rose hit .300 to tie the contest. The third set swung in the visitors favor when the Skyhawks used a 6-1 stretch to go up 19-12. Saint Rose quickly responded with a 5-2 jaunt to gain ground but was unable to get closer than four points. Stonehill started the fourth set on a 12-4 run to seal it.

Looking ahead, both teams are in action Friday night at 7:00 pm. Saint Rose is on the road at Franklin Pierce, while Stonehill welcomes in Pace University. Both contests can be watched on the
