The hitting percentage was the fifth-lowest of the season for Adelphi (10-6/3-2 NE10), who was picked to win the league according to the preseason coaches' poll. Senior libero
Tina Ceriello topped all players with 21 digs, while sophomore defensive specialist
Megan Mayer elevated 11 Panther attacks. The Golden Knights, which held Adelphi to .000 hitting in the decisive fifth set, totaled 13.5 blocks, including seven from junior middle hitter
Anna Maggiolo and six from junior middle hitter

Stevie Schweitzer led Saint Rose with ten kills, while Archie, Maggiolo and junior middle hitter
Victoria Fogg added nine apiece. The freshmen setting duo of
Allison Sellers (25) and
Valeria Jorge (18) ran the Saint Rose attack to the tune of 43 assists.

Sophomore outside hitter Sara Mandreja topped Adelphi with 17 kills, while junior middle hitter Cara McKenzie finished 14 rallies. Sophomore setter Grace Wegmann contributed a double-double of 45 assists and 10 digs, while senior libero Katarina Warburton had 21 digs. The reigning NE10 Libero of the Year was one of four Panthers with double-digits in digs.

After dropping a hotly-contested opening set that featured 14 ties and three lead changes, Saint Rose forced Adelphi into -.094 hitting to get on the board. Another tight set, this one with ten deadlocks, went the way of the Panthers, setting the stage for the Saint Rose comeback. The Golden Knights defense held the visitors to a .063 hitting percetage in the final two stanzas. Fogg registered six of her nine kills during the stretch, while freshman outside hitter
Ele'sia Williams put down four kills in the decisive fifth period.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights (10-11/3-3 NE10) host Bentley and Stonehill next weekend. Fans unable to make it to Albany for the NE10 contests can watch the action on the

Notes: Saint Rose, picked ninth in the NE10 preseason coaches' poll, is coming off its first postseason appearance since 2015…Ceriello began the day with NE10-bests of 386 digs and 5.51 digs per set…Archie entered the matinee tops in the conference with 1.15 blocks per set...Schweitzer made Tuesday's NE10 weekly honor roll…She registered 3.71 kills per set and 3.29 digs per set last week and achieved a double-double of 18 kills and 10 digs versus AIC (10/8).
