NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball had two players with eight kills in this afternoon's 3-0 Northeast-10 Conference setback at Southern Connecticut State.

Tina Ceriello, who entered the matinee as the NE10 leader in digs per set, totaled 13 digs.
Southern Connecticut State (9-9/2-2 NE10), who snapped a three-match skid, received a double-double of 11 kills on .308 hitting and 15 digs from senior outside hitter Jennifer Dawson. Freshman outside hitter Ella White also accomplished the feat, turning in 10 kills and 12 digs. Senior setter Tea Carter dished out 37 assists, while a trio of Owls, Dawson, freshman outside hitter Gabirella Gaibur and senior defensive specialist Anna Venard, each elevated 15 Golden Knight attacks.
Both teams have non-conference matches up next. Saint Rose heads back to "The Nutmeg State" Thursday night for a 7:00 pm meeting at Bridgeport. Southern Connecticut returns to the court tomorrow for a noon contest with Daemen.
Notes: Saint Rose, picked ninth in the NE10 preseason coaches' poll, is coming off its first postseason appearance since 2015…Ceriello entered the weekend with conference-bests of 340 digs and 5.48 digs per set…Archie came into the match tops in the NE10 with 1.19 blocks per set.
