ALBANY, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose suffered its first loss of the season today as visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival Assumption scored the game-winner with 15 minutes elapsed in the second period. In the process, the Greyhounds 6-2-1/4-2-1 NE10) ran their win streak to three matches and prevented the seventh-ranked Golden Knights (9-1-1/6-1-1 NE10) from remaining the conference's lone unbeaten side.
Â
Senior back Alexis Stowell provided the difference after she drove home a rebound from close in when sophomore midfielder Morgan Paquin's initial drive was blocked. Saint Rose manufactured four more corners in the ensuing 30 minutes and was able to deliver a pair of shots in the final minute, but ultimately could not come up with the equalizer.

Senior forward
Nina Predanic set up the Golden Knights goal with 32:00 expired in the first stanza. Predanic created space near the right end line and delivered a cross that sophomore forward
Kaelyn Britt one-timed home from the middle of the area to afford the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead.
Â
However, Assumption responded three minutes later when sophomore midfielder Diana Bruggeman collected a ball in the box with her back to the goal, turned and finished to make it a 1-1 affair at intermission.
Â
Overall, the Golden Knights controlled possession for 51.0 percent of the match although the Greyhounds manufactured a 12-10 shot advantage, including 7-3 in the second half.
