GOLDEN KNIGHTS RUN UNBEATEN STREAK TO FOUR MATCHES

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The College of Saint Rose ran its unbeaten stretch to four matches in dramatic fashion with today's 1-0 overtime triumph at Northeast-10 Conference rival Saint Anselm.

"This was an excellent win for our young team. Saint Anselm is a very good and well-coached squad who gave us problems all day. I really admired how the guys battled and found a way to win on the road in a very difficult environment," said head coach John Ciano.

Junior midfielder Filippo Bellú; delivered the game-winner in the opening minute of the extra session after he finished a feed from sophomore midfielder Harry Söederlind.

Sophomore keeper Ryan Henning made three of his five saves in the second half as the Hawks (6-5-0/2-5-0 NE10) engineered a 6-5 shots-on-goal advantage. In the process, he lowered his goals-against-average to 0.96 on the year.

Looking ahead, both sides have conference road matches next Saturday. The Golden Knights have a 3:00 pm date at Assumption in Worcester, Mass. Please note the time change. Meanwhile, the Hawks travel to Southern Connecticut State for a 7:00 pm meeting.
Notes: Saint Rose moved up a spot to #7 in this week's United Soccer Coaches East Region Poll…The Golden Knights have surrendered 11 goals this autumn, second fewest in the NE10…Bellú was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll Monday…Henning now leads the league with an .823 save percentage…His 0.96 GAA stands third.
