GOLDEN KNIGHTS FALL TO FRANKLIN PIERCE

ALBANY, N.Y.–Franklin Pierce put five players in twin figures for the second consecutive game to upend The College of Saint Rose 94-74 this afternoon inside the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. In the process, the Ravens (9-8/5-5 NE10) extended their win streak to three games.

Sophomore guard Adam Anderson tossed in 21 points, while senior forward Matt Cerutti and junior guard Michael Wearne tossed in 12 apiece to propel the Golden Knights (7-10/4-6 NE10). Wearne also handed out five assists.

Forward Jeremy Arthur, a graduate student, scored 24 points and pulled down six rebounds while junior guard Doyin Fadojutimi scored 15 to lead Franklin Pierce. Freshman guard Brandon Kolek, sophomore guard Sean Fasoyiro, and senior guard David Bradbury, Jr. added 10 apiece.

The Ravens outscored Saint Rose 30-10 midway through the first half that transformed a 14-12 deficit into a 42-24 advantage with 2:40 to go. The Ravens went into the locker room up 21, 51-30, at the break and led by no fewer than 17 the rest of the way.

Going forward, both squads have 7:30 pm road league dates Wednesday. The Golden Knights travel to Manchester to face Southern New Hampshire, while the Ravens head to New Haven to meet Southern Connecticut State. The Saint Rose game may be viewed live on NE10 NOW.tv while live stats may be found HERE.
Coaches vs. Cancer: Saint Rose once again helped fight cancer by making a charitable contribution to two great causes following each of today's games as part of its annual Cancer Awareness Day. The College's Athletics Department donated the ticket proceeds from today's women's game to Camp Bravehearts in honor of former Golden Knights player Ariel Davis ('07) who passed away this past October following her brave battle with breast cancer. Proceeds from the men's game will be donated to the V. Foundation for Cancer Research in honor of former player John Pesce ('86) who passed away in 2015 following a courageous fight against brain cancer.
Notes: Cerutti has been in double-figures in 12 consecutive contests…He was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll Monday…The Golden Knights are now 4-3 at home this year.
