GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Facing a 24-22 fourth set deficit, The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team rallied to force a fifth set before falling at Adelphi 3-2 tonight. The Golden Knights dropped the
Northeast-10 Conference match by scores of 22-25, 25-23, 18-25, 27-25, 10-15.

Junior outside hitter
Stevie Schweitzer led Saint Rose (10-7/1-2 NE10) with 13 kills, while senior middle hitter
Shayna Webber added 10. Senior setter
Sam Kubik recorded her second-straight "double-double", totaling 38 assists and 10 digs. Junior libero
Tina Ceriello, who was named the NE10 Libero of the Week on Tuesday, topped all players with 27 digs.
With the Panthers at match point, sophomore outside hitter
Hope Wulliger blocked an Adelphi attack to make it 24-23. Following an Adelphi error, freshman setter
Macey Drezek served up an ace to tie it. Shortly thereafter, kills from sophomore outside hitter
Brenna Goebel and Schweitzer extended the match to the deciding fifth set. Adelphi proceeded to hit .429 in the "Race to 15" to take the match.
Adelphi (13-3/4-0 NE10), now winners of six-straight matches, was paced by junior outside hitter Sara Bisbe and senior outside hitter/right side McKenna Clawson. The duo combined for 39 kills and 29 digs. Freshman setter Grace Wegmann dished out 45 assists, while junior libero Katarina Warburton elevated 23 Golden Knight attacks.
Both teams have home NE10 matches up next. The Golden Knights host Southern Connecticut State on Tuesday at 7:00 pm. Meanwhile, Adelphi will entertain American International tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 pm.
