ALBANY, N.Y.-The College of Saint Rose dictated the rate of play throughout most of the afternoon to chalk up a 3-0 victory against visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival Southern Connecticut State today. In the process, the Golden Knights snapped the Owls' (3-3-0/2-1-0 NE10) three-match win streak.
Â
"A great team effort was evident throughout the match. We created a number of quality chances and had composure in the attacking third," said head coach
Laurie Darling Gutheil.

Junior forward
Nina Predanic figured in all three scores including her league leading fifth and sixth strikes of the season. Senior midfielder
Julianne Johnston accounted for the third strike, while senior midfielder
Morgan Burchhardt and junior midfielder

The Golden Knights (3-2-1/1-2-0 NE10) outshot Southern Connecticut State 10-3 in the first half that yielded a 1-0 advantage at the break as Ratkovic sent in Predanic on a breakaway who buried her attempt into the lower left corner. Predanic then made it 2-0 four minutes into the second stanza when she gathered the ball and drove home a shot inside the right post. Four minutes later, Johnston closed out the scoring by touching home a cross from Burchhardt that Predanic redirected on its way through the area.
