SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-The College of Saint Rose extended the best start throughout its 37-year history by defeating host American International 1-0 in tonight's Northeast-10 Conference opener for both sides.
"This was a big win for our program and a great way to start the NE10 slate. AIC is a talented and well-coached team and tonight was a difficult contest. I was very pleased with the ball movement and the defensive effort the entire team displayed. We are excited to get back to practice and prepare for Saturday," said head coach

Looking ahead, both squads have NE10 matches Saturday. Saint Rose returns home to take on Saint Anselm at 5:00 pm, while American International heads to North Easton, Mass. to face Stonehill at 11:00 am.
