The Golden Knights battled back from an 11-5 first-set deficit to make it 23-20. The hosts proceeded to secure the final two points to take the opener. After Daemen used an early 10-1 jaunt to take a close second frame, Saint Rose avoided the sweep on the strength of an opening 6-1 run. The Golden Knights hit .297 in the set and .203 on the night. The Wildcats went on a 10-1 run midway through to close things out in four.
