SAINT ROSE USES WELL-ROUNDED EFFORT TO CHALK UP AN 11-2 WIN AT #10 LE MOYNE

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The College of Saint Rose snapped a four-game skid in impressive fashion with today's 11-2 Northeast-10 Conference triumph at #10 Le Moyne.

Junior left-hander Greg Musk surrendered just a pair of runs on four hits throughout 8.0 innings of work to go to 4-2 this spring. He was backed by an 11-hit barrage as the Golden Knights (16-20/9-12 NE10) rebounded from a 1-0 deficit by scoring three runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth. They then tacked on another in the seventh and crossed home plate three more times in the eighth.

"We responded very well after a tough weekend by defeating a great team. We swung the bats, pitched and played great defense. We are a very tough team to beat when we are focused," said head coach Wayne Jones.

Junior right fielder Alexander Koshgarian finished 3-for-5 with four runs scored and freshman second baseman Francisco Infante went 2-for-5 with a double and a solo home run in the sixth. Also, junior first baseman Nicolas Teitter drove in two runs with a pair of doubles and senior left fielder Matt McKinnon added a two RBI double in the eighth.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is back home tomorrow for a 3:00 pm non-league doubleheader versus Saint Joseph, Vt. Meanwhile, Le Moyne closes out its regular-season campaign this weekend with a three-game conference series against visiting American International.
Notes: Saint took the season series by winning two of three against its Upstate Challenge rival...Musk retired 19 of 20 batters at one point…Sophomore designated hitter Andrew Pedone doubled in the fourth to extend his hit streak to seven games…Senior third baseman Joe Foran has reached base in 15 consecutive contests after drawing a walk in the sixth.
