SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The College of Saint Rose scored the first nine goals of its 13-4
Northeast-10 Conference victory at American International on Tuesday night. The Golden Knights (3-4/2-1 NE10), which led 7-0 after 15 minutes, received a career-high seven points from junior attack
Carter Badour. The co-captain scored five goals on just seven shots on goal and dished out two assists.
"The team came out tonight very focused and took control of the game right away with some good shooting on a very good goalie," said Saint Rose head coach
Jim Morrissey. "It's always good to get an NE10 road win."
Freshman attack
Liam Knehr assisted on three goals while scoring once for a season-best four points. Junior midfielder
Austin Degener and freshman midfielder
Kyle Meoli each fired two into the net.
Senior midfielder
Matt Graham, the second-leading scorer in program history, contributed a goal and an assist. He now has 114 points, just 18 away from surpassing Kevin Fleming '15 for most in Golden Knight annals.
Saint Rose outshot the host Yellow Jackets (1-8/0-5 NE10) 54-15 and forced 26 turnovers.
Both teams are in action later this week. Saint Rose hosts #5 Pace on Saturday at 4:00 pm. AIC visits Dominican for a non-conference game on Thursday.
