CARY, N.C. –The College of Saint Rose concluded its spring trip by splitting a pair of games. The Golden Knights defeated Franklin Pierce 7-4 after falling to #12 Saint Thomas Aquinas 11-3.
Saint Rose (7-6) raced out to a 7-0 lead in the nightcap on the strength of a five-run fifth inning. The Ravens (6-5-1) plated four runs in the eighth before freshman right-hander 
Francisco Infante shut the door.
Senior shortstop 
Mark Powell went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI to lead the Golden Knight bats.  Junior right-hander 
Stephen Hill allowed four hits and struck out five across 7.0 innings to pick up the win.
Senior infielder 
Joe Foran scored all three runs as part of a 2-for-3 day against the Spartans (9-3).
Saint Rose will open Northeast-10 Conference play with a home doubleheader against Saint Michael's on Saturday, March 24. First pitch is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
