DINWIDDIE, Va.–The College of Saint Rose jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead, but Jefferson University (formerly Philadelphia University) scored three times in both the sixth and eighth, and once in the seventh to upend the Golden Knights 7-2 at Shepherd Stadium today.

Joe Foran went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI, while senior right fielder
Michael Shine and senior center fielder
Brian Uliana had two hits apiece to lead the Golden Knights (1-3) attack.

Junior right-hander
Stephen Hill allowed three runs on four hits and fanned four throughout 5.1 innings of work.
Junior catcher Matt McGee had a two-run base hit to key the Rams' (1-3) sixth.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose begins a week-long trip south next weekend with a three-game series at Claflin University. The two squads will play a 1:00 pm twin-bill Saturday, and a 2:00 pm single game Sunday in Orangeburg. S.C. Meanwhile, Jefferson has a game Friday versus Davis & Elkins in Thomasville, N.C.
