SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-The College of Saint Rose fell behind 7-2 in the early going, but then scored 19 unanswered points to go up 21-7 with 10:02 remaining until halftime and never looked back en route tonight's 76-53 victory at Northeast-10 Conference rival American International. In the process, the Golden Knights won their third straight game.

Saint Rose (19-7/14-4 NE10) held the Yellow Jackets to 35.7Â percent shooting from the floor, while canning 45.9 percent of their attempts from the floor and putting 11 players in the scoring column for the second straight game.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is back home for the second half of Saturday's conference doubleheader versus Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne. The Golden Knights will also be celebrating Senior Day and the third annual John Pesce '86 Day in honor of the former men's basketball player who passed away in 2015 following a courageous battle with cancer. Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets are on the road Saturday for a 3:30 pm league game at New Haven.
Notes: Saint Roe is now 7-4 on the road this year. Five players are averaging between 14.9 and 9.5 points on the year. Tonight the Golden Knights put five players in twin-figures scoring for the fifth time this season. They have had four drop in at least 10 points six other times. Furthermore, six players pulled off the feat in an 88-75 victory against visiting Southern New Hampshire on January 17. Boyd and Lipinski are the top point producers. Lipinski is scoring at a 13.3 ppg clip and is pulling down 7.0 rebounds on a regular basis. He is still second in the NE10 with 1.7 blocks and stands 10
th in rebounding. Cerutti is seventh among the league leaders in rebounding (7.2) and is 11
th in FG% (.529). The Golden Knights committed only six turnovers tonight, their second lowest total of the year. They are now second in the NE10 in scoring defense (68.0) and blocks (3.7), and are fourth in field goal percentage defense (43.2). Saint Rose has won the turnover battle 16 times this season. It is 13-3 in those games and has a +1.5 turnover margin on the year.
