WALTHAM, Mass.-Host Bentley converted nine of its first 10 field goal attempts en route to an 80-63 win against The College of Saint Rose in tonight's non-league scheduled game that featured two Northeast-10 Conference schools.
The Falcons (9-1), ranked #14 in the latest NABC National Weekly Poll, engineered an 11 point lead in the opening seven minutes and pretty much maintained a double-digit advantage the rest of the way.

Sophomore guard
Adam Anderson and senior forward
Matt Cerutti led the Golden Knights (4-6) with 15 and 11 points respectively. The latter also hauled in six rebounds. Freshman forward
Sekou Sylla, the three-time reigning NE10 Rookie of the Week, finished with eight points and eight boards while being limited to 23 minutes after picking up his fourth foul with a mere 41 seconds elapsed in the second half.

The Falcons, who were coming off their first loss of the season with Saturday's 84-74 setback at #4 Saint Anselm, shot a blistering 56.9 percent (29-for-51) from the floor to improve to 6-0 at home. Junior forward Chris Hudson recorded 22 points and seven rebounds, while senior guard Ryan Richmond contributed 18 points and seven assists without a turnover.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose is off the remainder of the week with final exams taking place. The Golden Knights face another stern test next Monday, December 17, with a 7:00 pm non-league game at #23 St. Thomas Aquinas in Sparkill, N.Y. Meanwhile, Bentley is off until Wednesday, December 19 when it travels to Long Island for a 7:00 pm non-conference date at NYIT.
Notes: Cerutti, who was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll today, has been in twin-figures in each of the last five outings…He is scoring at a 15.2 ppg clip during that stretch…Sylla is averaging 16.2 ppg during that span.
