ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose erased a six-point fourth quarter deficit to upend Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne 53-52 tonight at the Daniel P. Nolan Gymnasium. Senior forward
Zoe McDonald sank a foul shot with 1.5 seconds remaining for the final margin.

Junior guard
Courtney Clasen led all players with 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting, including nine in the final 5:12. McDonald, who had five points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out six assists as the Golden Knights (3-3/1-3 NE10) won their first
Northeast-10 Conference game of the year.
Â
"We competed for 40 minutes tonight and made big plays late," said Head Coach
Karen Haag. "Our defense kept us in it and we battled back at every turn against a talented Le Moyne team."
Â
Le Moyne (4-2/2-2 NE10), which had its three-game win streak snapped, received 19 points from junior guard McKayla Roberts who also contributed seven assists and three steals. Forward Corinne Poitevien, a graduate student, added 11 points and eight rebounds.
Â
The game was tightly-contested with 10 ties and 11 lead changes. Senior guard
Isa Vara de Rey banked a jumper from the left elbow with 36.6 seconds remaining to snap a 50-50 deadlock. Roberts responded by driving the lane and drawing a foul. She sank both free throws to tie the game again and set the stage for McDonald at the line.
Â
The Dolphins used a timeout to draw up a final play, and got a good look. However, freshman forward Jenna Zimmerman's baseline jumper at the buzzer was off the mark.
Going forward, both teams have home NE10 games Saturday. Saint Rose will host New Haven at 1:30 pm. Meanwhile, Le Moyne will entertain Pace University at 1:00 pm.
