NORTH ANDOVER, Mass-The College of Saint Rose scored twice in the final 20 minutes only to come up a goal short in today's 3-2 setback at Northeast-10 Conference rival Merrimack. The Warriors opened the second half with three unanswered strikes to improve to 7-0 at home on the year.

Jaakko Teräsranta accounted for the two Golden Knights scores. The former put the Golden Knights (6-4-1/3-4-1 NE10) on the board with 70:39 expired by burying a free kick. Less than 12 minutes later,
Teräsranta headed home a cross off the foot of senior midfielder
Paulo Sdoia.

Saint Rose then manufactured two shots and a corner throughout the final eight minutes, but could not come up with the equalizer.

Gianni Carillo recorded five saves for the Golden Knights, while senior Tyler Packett came up with a pair of saves in each half for Merrimack (8-2-0/5-2-0 NE10), who put five players in tonight's scoring column.

Looking ahead, Saint Rose returns home next Saturday to take on Assumption as part of the College's annual
HOME.COMING & Family Weekend Celebration. Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm. Meanwhile, Merrimack heads to Manchester, N.H. Tuesday to face Saint Anselm at 4:00 pm.
