SYRACUSE, N.Y.-The College of Saint Rose suffered its third one goal setback in a closely played 2-1 setback at Northeast-10 Conference and Upstate Challenge rival Le Moyne today. The Dolphins (8-2/5-2 NE10), who were nationally ranked a mere week ago, scored once in each half to improve to 5-1 at home this autumn.

Forward Marek Weber, a graduate student, finished a short pass in the area from junior forward Salar Faryar for his ninth goal of the year with 18:36 elapsed to make it 1-0 Dolphins. Faryar then struck with his team leading 11
th of the season at the 60:37 mark when he headed home a cross from the end line inside the right post.

The Golden Knights (6-3-1/3-3-1 NE10) cut their deficit in half less than six minutes later when sophomore midfielder Oskar Aaströem redirected a corner kick from the right flag off the foot of junior midfielder
Niv Fogel.

Gianni Carillo recorded three saves while freshman Josh Mahr came up with four saves for Le Moyne.

Overall, the Golden Knights engineered a 12-10 shot advantage while the Dolphins developed five corner opportunities, and yielded a pair.

Looking ahead, both squads are on the road Saturday. Saint Rose has a 7:00 pm date at Merrimack in North Andover, Mass., while Le Moyne has an 11:00 am meeting at Stonehill in North Easton, Mass.Â
Notes: Saint Rose has outscored its opponents by a 10-4 margin in the second half, and 18-12 overall this season…The Golden Knights have also manufactured a 141-101 shot differential.
