ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team served up 11 aces in tonight's 
Northeast-10 Conference home sweep of Merrimack. The Golden Knights won their third-straight by scores of 25-13, 25-23, 25-15.
 
Senior middle hitter 
Shayna Webber led Saint Rose (14-8/5-3 NE10) with 12 kills on .632 hitting. The NE10 blocks leader thwarted five Warrior attack attempts in the win. Senior setter 
Sam Kubik dished out 28 assists and recorded a team-high three aces.
 
"Tonight was great start to the weekend," said Saint Rose Head Coach 
Vanessa Volpe-Rivera. "Our team came out strong and served aggressively in order to keep control of the match."
 
Merrimack (5-16/3-6 NE10) received eight kills from senior outside hitter Katelynn Marr. Senior libero Amanda Cain topped all players with 13 digs, while freshman setter Megan Rumenapp, a Wynantskill native, registered 14 assists.
 
After getting out to an 11-1 advantage to take the opening set, Saint Rose found itself down 22-18 in the middle frame. The Golden Knights knotted things up at 23 by capitalizing off Warrior errors. Junior defensive specialist 
Madison Gerace kept the momentum going with a service ace and caused Merrimack to call timeout. A combo block by junior outside hitter 
Stevie Schweitzer and sophomore middle hitter 
Kyla Archie completed the comeback set win. Saint Rose held the visitors to -.054 hitting to wrap up its ninth sweep of the fall.
 
Both programs are in action tomorrow afternoon. The Golden Knights host Assumption at 1:00 pm. Meanwhile, Merrimack plays at Le Moyne
