RINDGE, N.H. - The College of Saint Rose overcame a late charge by host Franklin Pierce to chalk up a 67-57
Northeast-10 Conference triumph this afternoon. The Golden Knights (13-4/8-1 NE10) outrebounded the Ravens 33-27 off the defensive glass and held their host to 36.7 percent (22-for-60) shooting to win their fourth straight.

Shane Herrity led a balanced Saint Rose attack by going 7-for-10 from the floor on the way to a game high 19 points. Junior forward

Jeff Allen added nine points each, while senior forward
Julian Lipinski hauled in 11 rebounds.
"It was a great effort today by our guys. I thought we really defended and shared the ball nicely on offense. Shane made some really tough shots down the stretch to seal the victory," said assistant coach
Mike Perno.
The Golden Knights built a comfortable 17 point, 46-29, advantage with 13:15 remaining in the ballgame, before Franklin Pierce took off on a 26-11 jaunt to get to within a hoop, 57-55, with only 4:55 left to play. However, Herrity knocked down back-to-back treys and Saint Rose held the Ravens without a field goal the rest of way to improve to 5-2 on the road.

Senior forward Jordan Lackey and sophomore guard Falu Seck scored 12 points apiece to lead five Franklin Pierce players in twin-figures.

Looking ahead, both squads have 7:30 pm home conference dates Wednesday. The Golden Knights host Southern New Hampshire for Blackout Night, while the Ravens take on Southern Connecticut State.
Notes: Saint Rose is again ranked #9 in the D2CCA East Region Media Poll. The Golden Knights lead the NE10 in both scoring defense (65.0) and field goal percentage defense (41.3). They are furthermore second in blocks (3.7). Saint Rose has turned the ball over fewer than 10 times throughout eight of its previous 11 contests. The Golden Knights have won the turnover battle 13 times this year. Cerutti continues to be tied for second among the league leaders in rebounding (7.9), while Lipinski stands second in blocks (1.7).
