ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose women's tennis team fell to Roberts Wesleyan in its season opener by a score of 8-0.
In number one doubles, the senior duo of
Averie Bowen and
KeriAnn Mahoney fell 8-1. Â At number two, sophomores
Wendella Wilson and
Lindsey Skouras lost 8-2.
In singles, Mahoney won three games at number two, while Bowen, playing number one, was knotted at 6 in the second set when rain called the match.
The Golden Knights (0-1) are scheduled to face Bentley in Northeast-10 Conference action tomorrow at 4pm.  Roberts Wesleyan (2-0) travels to Queens for an ECC match tomorrow at noon.
