The College of Saint Rose bounced back from its only defeat of the season by posting its fourth clean sheet en route to this afternoon's 1-0 victory against visiting Northeast-10 Conference rival New Haven on Senior Day.

"We are just really happy with the result on Senior Day,"said head coach Laurie Darling Gutheil.

The Golden Knights, who fell 1-0 to Le Moyne Tuesday night, engineered a 16-11 shot advantage and an 8-0 corner kick differential throughout a cool, wet day.

It first appeared the match would be a high scoring affair. However, sophomore midfielder Victoria Barris provided the lone strike when she touched home a pass off the left flank from sophomore forward Nina Predanic with only 11:07 expired.

The Golden Knights (7-0-1/6-1-0 NE10) proceeded to outshoot the Chargers (3-5-2/0-5-2 NE10) 10-5 during the first stanza, but the contest was more evenly paced during the final 45 minutes as each squad generated six shots.

Sophomore Marika Laurendeau, junior Madison Taylor, and senior Meghan Hake combined for the shutout between the posts, while freshman Paige Davis registered four saves in only her second collegiate appearance for the Chargers.

Looking ahead, both squads are back on the pitch for conference matches Tuesday. Saint Rose heads to Colchester, Vt. to take on Saint Michael's at 3:00 pm, while New Haven hosts Stonehill at 4:00 pm.
Senior Day: Prior to today's match, seniors Morgan Burchhardt, Raven Small, Totianyu Guadalupe, Roxana Hernandez, Hake and Taylor were honored in recognition of their contributions to the program.
Notes: Eight of the Golden Knights nine matches this fall have been decided by one goal. They are 7-1 in those encounters. Saint Rose has now outshot its opponents by a 152-86 margin on the year, including an 86-56 differential after halftime. The Golden Knights have also manufactured a 51-21 corner kick margin. Laurendeau is second in the NE10 with a 0.881 save percentage and a 0.56 goals-against-average. Saint Rose stands second with a 0.63 team GAA.
