ALBANY–The College of Saint Rose dropped both ends of today's
Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader, 9-4 and 14-1, to visiting Pace University. The Setters (25-14/14-7 NE10) broke open a 6-3 first game by pushing across three runs in the eighth and then scored at least two runs in each of the final four innings of the nightcap.

Kenny Fils-Aime, freshman second baseman
Andrew Pedone, and junior first baseman
Joe Foran each had three hits on the day for the Golden Knights (5-27/4-15 NE10). Also, junior right fielder
Michael Shine belted a solo home run in the finale.

For Pace, catcher Frank Mayo, a graduate student, finished 6-for-10 with five runs scored and four RBI.

Looking ahead, the two teams are scheduled to conclude their weekend series with a 12:00 pm game tomorrow. Seven Saint Rose seniors will be honored during a pregame ceremony.
