CLERMONT, Fla.–The College of Saint Rose dropped a pair of contests on its annual Florida trip earlier today. The Golden Knights fell 6-2 to Felician and 14-0 to Northern State.
In the earlier game, the Golden Knights jumped out to a 2-0 lead before Felician came to bat. Junior right-hander
Dana Nicoletti led off with a single and came around to score on the ensuing double by sophomore utility
Briana Bowen. Bowen later scored on a single by sophomore outfielder
Astasia Myler.
Felician (7-5) then tied it on a two-run home run by freshman designated player Nicole Spiegelberg. In the third, Spiegelberg went yard again to give the Golden Falcons a 4-2 lead.
Felician added a pair of insurance runs off a tiring Nicoletti in the sixth for the final margin.
The Wolves (9-3) scored four in the first and 10 in the fourth to end it early in the nightcap.
The Golden Knights (2-8) conclude their Florida trip with games Wednesday against LIU Post and Mercyhurst.
