FLORENCE, SC–Host Francis Marion broke open a 3-2 game by scoring four times in the eighth inning to upend The College of Saint Rose 7-2 earlier today.

Andrew Pedone had two hits apiece to pace the Golden Knights (0-6) attack. In the process, the former extended his hitting streak to four games.

Saint Rose cut its 3-1 deficit in half in the sixth when sophomore left fielder
Kenny Fils-Aime doubled home McKinnon.

However, the Patriots (17-2) put the game away in the eighth when they took advantage of a pair of wild pitches to chalk up their seventh win in the last eight games.
Francis Marion freshman southpaw Garrett Wilson allowed two runs and fanned four over the distance to run his record to 4-0 this spring.
Looking ahead, Saint Rose has a 5:00 pm date Tuesday at Claflin in Orangeburg, SC while Francis Marion visits Claflin Wednesday at 4:00 pm.
