GOLDEN KNIGHTS UPENDED AT #3 USC AIKEN

AIKEN, SC–Third-ranked USC Aiken scored four times in the second and pushed across five runs an inning later to upend The College of Saint Rose 15-1 tonight. In the process, the Pacers (16-3) won their fourth straight and improved to 11-1 at home.
 
Senior first baseman Joe DeLuca stroked an RBI base hit in the sixth to account for the Golden Knights (0-7) run.
 
Freshman second baseman Andrew Pedone doubled while junior designated hitter Joe Foran, senior third baseman Alex Chandler, sophomore first baseman Kody Skype, and freshman right fielder Anthony Scheller had one hit apiece.
 
On the mound, sophomore right-handers Casey Krebs and Cody Mooney combined to toss 3.2 innings of one-hit ball out of the bullpen.
 
For USC Aiken, senior left fielder Mitchell Price went 3-for-3 and drove in four runs.
 
Looking ahead, Saint Rose is scheduled to make up Tuesday's postponed game at Claflin tomorrow. First pitch is set for 3:00 pm. Meanwhile, the Pacers have a 6:00 pm home date tomorrow versus Nova Southeastern.
