GOLDEN KNIGHTS EARN FIRST WIN IN FLORIDA

CLERMONT, Fla –The College of Saint Rose picked up its first victory of the season, defeating University of Mary 6-2.

The Golden Knights erupted for five runs in their first two times up. Sophomore outfielder Astasia Myler, junior infielder Taylor Solomon and senior infielder Carly Wood each had RBI hits. 

On the mound, junior Dana Nicoletti went the distance to pick up the win.  She also totaled three singles and scored a run at the plate.

Earlier in the morning, Saint Rose loss 9-4 to Northwood. Solomon went 2-for-3 with two homers and three RBI. Myler also went deep for the Golden Knights (1-5), who have a day off tomorrow before playing Bentley and Georgian Court on Monday.
