WEST HAVEN, CT-The College of Saint Rose held host New Haven to 16 second half points to chalk up a 54-42
Northeast-10 Conference victory today.

The Golden Knights (12-10/7-9 NE10) trailed by one, 26-25, at the break, but manufactured an 11-2 run midway through the third period that transformed a three point, 32-29, deficit into a six point, 40-34, cushion with 3:16 remaining in the stanza. They then limited the Chargers (5-16/4-12 NE10) to a pair of fourth period field goals to snap a four-game skid.
Â
"I am really happy we were able to bounce back this afternoon. We had a great team defensive effort and we did a superlative job on the glass in the second half. Our team showed that it is comprised of fighters. I'm proud of them," said head coach
Karen Haag.

Sophomore guard
Ashley Vanderwall ignited the third period jaunt by knocking down a 3-pointer and then put Saint Rose ahead to stay with a pair of free throws. Senior guard
