PEMBROKE, NC–The College of Saint Rose suffered a 22-0 season-opening loss to an UNC Pembroke squad that registered its sixth straight victory this afternoon.

Matt McKinnon each had a base hit for the Golden Knights (0-1). Also, junior catcher
Tom Moore reached on a walk.

For the Braves (7-1), junior right-hander Anthony Burke scattered two hits and fanned 10 throughout 7.0 innings of work to run his record to 3-0 on the year.

Looking ahead, the two squads will conclude their three-game series with an 11:00 am doubleheader tomorrow.
