ORANGEBURG, N.Y.–Host Dominican opened up a 10 point lead lead midway through the first half to hand The College of Saint Rose its first setback of the year with a 71-59 victory during opening night action of the Sixth Annual Daniel Sullivan Memorial Tournament.

Julian Lipinski led the Golden Knights (3-1) with 19 points, on 7-for-10 shooting from the floor, and six rebounds. Also, fellow senior forward
Jack Jones tossed in 12 points throughout 22 minutes of reserve duty.

Meanwhile, Daniel Grant recorded 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists to lead the Chargers (2-0).

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights close out their tournament stay tomorrow with a 6:00 pm game versus Caldwell. They then return home Tuesday to face Pace University in the second half of a Northeast-10 Conference doubleheader. Tip-off is set for 7:30 pm. Meanwhile, Dominican takes on Molloy tomorrow at 8:00 pm.
