ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose overcame an 8-0 deficit and put five players in double-figures scoring to upend visiting Molloy 86-75 this afternoon in the final day of action of its own Tip-Off Tournament.

Senior forward
Julian Lipinski recorded a "double-double" behind 22 points, on 8-for-10 shooting, and a career-high 12 rebounds to propel the Golden Knights (2-0). Freshman guard
Adam Anderson tossed in 15 points while junior guard
Shane Herrity added 13. Also, junior forward
Matt Cerutti and sophomore guard
Michael Wearne contributed 11 points apiece.

"I think today we got big contributions from a lot of different guys. Julian's 'double-double' really sparked us and going 12-for-25 from the arc helped us light up the scoreboard," said assistant coach
Mike Perno.

Overall, the Golden Knights shot a blistering 53.4 percent (31-for-58) from the floor and generated a 37-26 advantage off the glass.

Lipinski broke the ice for Saint Rose and Herrity finished a fast break to tie the game 9-9 five minutes in. The Lions (0-2) pushed their lead back to seven throughout the ensuing four minutes, but the Golden Knights outscored Molloy 29-10 the rest of the way to go in the locker room up 43-31 at the break.

A 90 second spurt that featured a pair of trifectas from senior forward
Jack Jones and another from Lipinski, along with a traditional three-point play, accounted for most of the damage.

The Golden Knights then methodically boosted their lead to as many 21 points in the latter stages of the second period.

Sophomore guard Nolan Kelly scored 20 points and junior guard Curtis Jenkins finished with 18 for Molloy.

In today's first game, Le Moyne edged Caldwell 70-66 in a contest that featured 13 ties and a like number of lead changes. Senior guard Tyquan Rolon scored 18 points to pace the Dolphins (2-0), while sophomore forward AJ Kittles finished with 17 for the Cougars (0-2).

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights open the
Northeast-10 Conference portion of their schedule Wednesday with a 7:30 pm date at Southern Connecticut State. Meanwhile, the Lions face Caldwell on Friday at the Daniel Sullivan Memorial Tournament on the Dominican College campus in Orangeburg, N.Y.
