The Yellow Jackets (18-9/9-2 NE10) were led by senior outside hitter Annie Boele, who had a game-high 20 kills. The visitors received a "double-double" of 15 kills and 21 digs from sophomore outside hitter Jana Potic in the win.

Â
Junior setter Dolores Kopren distributed 48 assists, while senior libero Mercy Rivera dug 30 Saint Rose attacks.
In the opening set, the Golden Knights fought back from a 19-13 to make it a 20-18 set. However, AIC went on a 5-1 run to close it out.
Every time Saint Rose was able to get a few-point cushion in the second set, the visitors always managed to tie the score. When the Yellow Jackets tied the set for the seventh time at 21, the Golden Knights defense took over. The hosts blocked three AIC attacks down the stretch to take the set. Saint Rose, which totaled 13 blocks on the night, limited American International to a .098 hitting percentage in the second frame.
Late in the third set, the Golden Knights had a pair of three-point advantages (23-20 and 24-21). Yet again however the 2016 NCAA East Regional champions knotted the score, first and 24, then at 25. An AIC service error, combined with a block by Webber and senior
Maddy Halverson, gave Saint Rose the hard-fought set victory.
Â
American International opened up a 21-12 lead in the fourth set, yet Saint Rose didn't quit. The Golden Knights reeled off six-consecutive points to make things interesting at 23-21. Following a Potic kill, Webber put down two Kubik sets and it was a single-point game. On the next point, Kopren registered one of her four kills on the night to shut the door and set up the deciding fifth set.
The Yellow Jackets held Saint Rose to a -.095 hitting percentage in the final set to complete the comeback.
Looking ahead, both teams have home NE10 matches on Friday night. Saint Rose faces Stonehill. The Yellow Jackets host Saint Michael's.
