ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team lost to Saint Anselm 3-1 (25-15, 25-12, 17-25, 25-12) in
Northeast-10 Conference action Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore outside hitter
Stevie Schweitzer led the Golden Knights (10-12/1-6 NE10) with 12 kills.
The Hawks (14-8/7-3 NE10) received a combined 37 kills from the trio of senior right side Amanda Bickford, sophomore outside hitter Catherine McCarthy and senior outside hitter Katy Teets.
The visitors hit .483 to take the first set, before holding Saint Rose to a -.222 attack percentage in the second set.
After the Golden Knights battled back to take the third set, Saint Anselm jumped out to a 20-5 lead in the fourth frame.
Looking ahead, both teams have NE10 matches on Friday night. The Golden Knights travel to Merrimack and Saint Anselm hosts Adelphi.
