ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose women's volleyball team held Saint Michael's to a -.010 hitting percentage in its 3-0 victory Friday night. The Golden Knights (10-11/1-5 NE10) got their first 
Northeast-10 Conference win of the season by scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-14.
"Our serving was spot on and we were able to follow through with our defensive game plan," said Head Coach 
Vanessa Volpe-Rivera.
Senior middle hitter 
Maddy Halverson topped Saint Rose with 10 kills on .529 hitting.
Junior setter 
Sam Kubik distributed 34 assists, while sophomore libero 
Tina Ceriello  totaled 18 digs.
Freshman middle blocker 
Kyla Archie came off the bench to hit .400 with five kills.
 The Saint Rose defense quickly set the tone, holding the Purple Knights (1-12/1-7 NE10) to -.280 hitting in the first set.
After battling to take the second frame, the Golden Knights hit .278 while holding Saint Michael's to .000 hitting in the third set.
Junior right side Gabby Ratte topped the visitors with eight kills.
 
Looking ahead, both teams have NE10 matches tomorrow. The Golden Knights host Saint Anselm and Saint Michael's visits Le Moyne.
