ALBANY-The College of Saint Rose suffered a 1-0 heartbreaking setback to
Northeast-10 Conference rival Franklin Pierce tonight on Sullivan Field at the Plumeri Sports Complex.

The Ravens (7-2-2/6-2-2 NE10) struck in the 84th minute to come away with the victory, less than 30 seconds after the Golden Knights (9-2-1/8-2-0 NE10) had an apparent goal waived off.

Franklin Pierce took advantage of the opportunity as junior midfielder Bruna Tavares delivered a cross from the left flank that fellow junior midfielder Nathalia Maria da Silva touched home into the top left corner.

Marika Laurendeau made five saves throughout a busy evening as Franklin Pierce fired seven shots throughout each half.

Looking ahead, both sides have conference dates set for Saturday. The Golden Knights will host Saint Anselm at 2:00 pm for Faculty and Parent Appreciation Day. Meanwhile, the Ravens have a 7:00 pm meeting at Pace University in Pleasantville.
Notes: Ten of the Golden Knights 12 matches this fall have been decided by one goal. They are now 8-2 in those encounters. Saint Rose is also 3-0-1 in overtime this season. The Golden Knights have outshot their opponents by a 189-120 margin on the year. They have also manufactured a 69-286 corner kick margin. Laurendeau is third in the NE10 with a 0.864 save percentage and stands fourth behind a 0.66 goals-against-average.
