SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -The College of Saint Rose women's tennis team lost in
Northeast-10 Conference action at American International, 6-3.
Senior
Averie Bowen emerged victorious in number one singles (3-6, 6-1, 13-11) over Meritxell Jimeno-Vicente.
At number four singles, sophomore
Lindsey Skouras defeated Alice Calabrese, 6-0, 6-1. The victory was her first as a Golden Knight.
Freshman
Vivian Leung won her first collegiate match, 6-0, 6-0, at number five singles.
Both programs continue NE10 action next week. Saint Rose(0-7/0-6 NE10) hosts Le Moyne in the Upstate Challenge match on Tuesday at 3:30. The Yellow Jackets (1-7/1-6 NE10) visit Stonehill on Saturday.
