WILMINGTON, DE–The College of Saint Rose collected its third-consecutive shutout with a 2-0 victory at Wilmington on Monday afternoon to close out its non-league slate.

The Golden Knights (3-0) struck in the 21st minute when senior back
Elisa Galbiati headed in a well-placed corner kick from junior forward
Morgan Burchhardt.
Â
Next, Burchhardt made it 2-0 when she chipped a shot over the head of the keeper and into the back of the net off a feed by freshman midfielder
Nina Predanic at 25:49. Burchhardt has now scored in each of the first three matches for Saint Rose and sits with four goals and three assists on the young season.

Tending goal for the Golden Knights were sophomore
Madison Taylor and freshman
Marika Laurendeau. They each played a half, and Taylor made three saves to preserve the shutout streak.

Saint Rose held an advantage in shots (13-7), shots on goal (7-3), and corner kicks (4-1).

For the Wildcats, sophomore midfielder Rebecca Dolhansky took a team-high two shots on goal and three overall.

Looking ahead, the Golden Knights are back home Saturday when they will take on Southern New Hampshire for their Northeast-10 Conference opener. Kickoff is set for 2:00 pm and will be followed by the men's 5:00 pm match versus Roberts Wesleyan.
